Obituary

Robert Joseph Draher, age 84, of Maiden, NC, passed away on Tuesday, July 14, 2020 at The Sherrills Ford Hospice House. Born May 10, 1936, he was the son of the late Roscoe Draher and Louise Wunsch Draher. Bob was a veteran of the US Air Force and a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Newton, NC. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus for 40 years and a member of the American Legion for over 30 years. In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by three brothers and five sisters. Survivors include his wife of 27 years, Donna Kampsen Draher, sons, Ed Draher of Atlanta, GA, Thomas Draher and wife, Brenda of Gainesville, GA; daughters, Michele Baklarz and husband, Gordon of Statesville, NC, Dianne Maddox of Gainesville, GA, Shannan Dickens and husband, Randy of Canton, OH, Susan Lea of Spartanburg, SC; sisters, Rosetta of Redding, CA, Rachel Ott and husband, Chuck of Yellow Bud, Ohio, Jessie Price and husband, Amos of Chillicothe, OH and Shirley Meeker of Reading, CA; and a number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, July 18, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Father Edward Sheridan officiating.

The family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. prior to the service.
