Rita Louise (nee Timmerding) Tobler, 90, of Taylor Mill, passed away on December 18, 2022 at Madonna Manor in Villa Hills. Beloved mother of Donnie (Linda) Tobler, Tom (Marie) Tobler, Connie (Kirk) Dupont, Joe (Late: Catherine) Tobler, Mark (Amy) Tobler and Matthew (Liz) Tobler. Rita is preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Eunice Timmerding of Latonia. Dear sister of Diane (Doug) Vogelsang, Joy (Late: Ferd) Bohman, David (Toni) Timmerding, John (Sandy) Timmerding, Tom (Diana) Timmerding, Late: Walter (Bernie) Timmerding and Late: Bill (Cookie) Timmerding. Beloved aunt, grand and great-grand aunt to many nieces and nephews. Rita was a loving grandmother to 20 grandchildren, and loving great-grandmother to 11 great-grandchildren. Rita was born on March 26, 1932. She graduated from Holy Cross Grade School, class of 1945 and Villa Madonna High School, class of 1949. She graduated from the St. Elizabeth School of Nursing in 1952, obtained a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing from the University of Dayton in 1957, and a Master's Degree in Nursing from the University of California at San Francisco in 1962. She entered the teaching profession in 1953 at the St. Elizabeth School of Nursing, moved to the Northern Kentucky Community College in 1967, and Northern Kentucky University in 1975, finally retiring in 1996 after achieving Professor Emeritus status. She was an active participant in numerous professional nursing organizations, and authored the book FUNDAMENTAL NURSING PROCEDURES for Springhouse Publishers, 1992. Rita loved reading, traveling and playing bridge. She was a devout Catholic and was guided in her life by her faith. A Memorial Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 21, 2022 from 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM at St. Anthony Church, 485 Grand Avenue, Taylor Mill, immediately followed by a Mass of Christian Burial also at St. Anthony Church. Burial will follow at Mother of God Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Anthony's Church (Restoration Fund) or St. Elizabeth Hospice.
