Obituary
Lance "Kelly" Green, age 58, of Erlanger, KY, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 16, 2025 at Christ Hospital in Cincinnati, OH. He was born on January 13, 1967 in Ft. Thomas, KY to Lance David Green and Peggy Ann (nee Wiseman) Butler.
For over 30 years, Kelly worked as a dedicated commercial painter, taking immense pride in his work and approaching each project with unwavering professionalism. His infectious laugh was unmistakable and could light up any room. Kelly had a gift for making people smile even on their darkest days. He was known for his generous spirit and would literally give the shirt off his back to help anyone in need. He had a legendary sweet tooth, always keeping candy close at hand, and loved nothing more than cranking up his favorite rock and roll music. Above all else, Kelly was a true father who cherished every moment with his children, and an incredible "Papal" whose grandchildren were the light of his life.
Kelly leaves behind a loving family who will cherish his memory, including his son Lance Michael Green (Maddi Poole) and step-daughter Amber Schraer. He was a proud grandfather to Preston Schraer, Leland Griffin, and Mara Green, who brought immense happiness to his life. Kelly is also survived by his father, Lance David Green (Deanna); siblings: brothers Brian Green (Jessica) and Kristopher Green; and sisters Trisha Slate (Thomas), Chelsey Green, and Tiaira Green. His legacy lives on through his many nieces, nephews, and a host of other family members and friends who were touched by his presence.
A private burial for immediate family members will take place where Kelly will be interred above his beloved mother. A Celebration of Life for family and friends will be held on March 28, 2025 from 4-6pm at the Ralph, Fulton VFW Post 6423, 4435 Dixie Hwy, Elsmere, KY 41018.
