Obituary

Marilyn Janice Gillespie (nee Tillery), 85, of Covington, KY, passed into eternal life on Saturday, May 13, 2023. Marilyn was preceded in death by her husband, Donald (Buck) Gillespie; her mother, Genevieve Tillery; her brothers, Tom and Carl Tillery; her sisters, Patricia Gripshover, Lois Hardin and Joanne Watkins and her granddaughter, Elizabeth Tillery. She is survived by her son, Terry Tillery; her grandchildren, James, Michael, Julie and Leah and several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Marilyn was a member of St. Benedict Church. She was a kind, caring and patient woman who enjoyed spending time with her family. She loved dancing and singing especially to Elvis songs, playing bingo and bowling and riding on the back of Buck’s motorcycle in her younger years. Mass of Christian burial will be at 11AM, Friday, May 19, at St. Benedict Church followed by interment at Mother of God Cemetery.
