Obituary

Jean Ann Glenn Von Handorf September 18, 1926-April 4, 2021
Our beloved mother quietly and peacefully passed away early Easter Sunday morning. She joined her husband of 65 years, Dick Von Handorf, her brothers Bill Glenn and Pat Cross, and her sister, Mary Dorothy (Cross) Rennekamp. Jean was born September 18, 1926, and was a proud graduate of Notre Dame Academy, class of 1944. She even died on 4/4! Mom was honored to receive the "Woman Making a Difference" award at NDA in 2010. She truly made a difference in the lives of her six children, Karen (Rudy deceased) Donath, Glenn (Judy), Linda (Doug) Fussinger, Paul (Annette), Dan (Debbie), Mary Ann "Missy" (Peter) Jencks, her 16 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. A devout Catholic and daily communicant of St. Agnes Church in Ft. Wright since 1966, she loved her final years at St. Charles Care Community. Coming or going, the chapel was always the first and last stop. Reinforced by faith and daily walks, Jean was a tireless volunteer and a pillar of strength for all. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at St. Agnes, Saturday, April 10, at 10:00. There will be no visitation per Jean's request. A reception will immediately follow Mass and burial at Mother of God Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Diocesan Catholic Children's Home (DCCH), dcchcenter.org, The Point/Arc of Northern Ky. (for those with intellectual and developmental disabilities) thepointarc.org, or Be Concerned (food bank) beconcerned.org
Middendorf Funeral Home, Ft. Wright, is assisting the family. Online condolences may be made at middendorf-funeralhome.com.
