James Edward Summers, 89, of Erlanger, Ky. passed away December 30, 2021 at St. Elizabeth Hospital Edgewood, Ky. Jim had a extensive History, including Special Forces for the U.S. Army Air Borne, Retired Captain for the Covington Police Department from 1957 - 1980, River Boat Captain for Years, and a Security Guard at St. Luke Hospital, Fort Thomas, He is preceded by his Parents; Roy and Edith Audrey Summers. Jim is survived by his Wife Shirley Summers, Son; Todd Summers, Brother Butch Summers, 1 Granddaughter Erin Summers Menninger. Visitation will be Wednesday January 5, 2022, from 12:00 - 2:00 Pm at Don Catchen & Son Funeral Homes, Elsmere, Ky. Funeral Service will begin at 2:00 Pm. Interment will follow at Mother of God Cemetery with Military Honors.
