We love you Mom. You were a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend who was always so sweet and humble. For 25 years you worked at Preferred Surgical Care and you spent countless hours volunteering at Covington Catholic's Bingo even after all of your children had graduated. You took pleasure in making quilts, making Christmas cream candy, Carmel apples, and baking cookies for your friends and family, playing euchre, watching reds and Bengals games, hosting family dinners, and going on family vacations to the beach. Your faith and devotion to Mary Queen of Heaven church on Saturdays was unparalleled. Most of all, we know that you cherished the love you had for your family and you were truly an angel on earth. MS took away your hopes and dreams for the future, but you and Dad adjusted and kept your priorities in check. You both focused your time and energy on health, family, and everything important, and at no point did you ever complain. Your smile, laugh, and quick wit will be sorely missed. You are the best Mom and we will always love you. Karen Sue Ford. Proceeded in death by her father Don Scherder, mother Helen Scherder and sister in- law Marilyn Ford. She leaves behind her loving husband John Thomas (Tom), sons Eric(Alison),Brian(Amy), Daughter Jenny(Chris) Hemingway and her grandchildren Jackson, Jaiden, Jason, Ethan and Charlie. She also leaves behind her sister Amy(Steve) Kyle, brother in-law Mike Ford along with nieces and nephews. Middendorf Funeral Home in Ft. Wright are assisting the family. Visitation will be Monday from 5:00pm until 6:00pm at Mary Queen of Heaven Church . Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 6:00pm. Burial will be at Mother of God Cemetery.
